What makes BVSP the best slide puck out there?
Two things: the material, and the work ethic. Our UHMW was rigorously tested by some of the world's best riders before Black Velvet Slide Pucks even started. We knew we found what we were looking for when the pucks lasted for over a year of very, very hard riding. The durability, slide, and look is second to none, which is why we're the #1 choice for longboard skateboarders all over the world.
Second, each puck is cut, beveled, shaped, and sanded by none other than Chris and Ivan from BVSP. We strive to not only meet, but exceed the standards of machine cut slide pucks in the market today, and we believe that these efforts will undoubtedly shine through when you hold your pucks for the first time.
What is "sandwich bevel"?
Sandwich bevel is a puck enhancement we came up with about two years ago. All slide pucks in the industry come with one side beveled, but we soon realized, why not just bevel both sides? The purpose of the sandwich bevel is to increase your puck's longevity. Once one side of your puck has lost its bevel, flip your puck around, reattach your Velcro, and voila, you literally have a brand new slide puck to use!
How are packages shipped?
We ship USPS First-Class Mail, using a flat-rate envelope. And just a heads up, we have horrible hand-writing. You'll see.
How much is international shipping?
Shipments outside of the United States of America ship for $8.00 USD. Please e-mail us directly for international orders.
How long will it take for my pucks to get to me?
Shipping takes approximately 5-7 business days.
It's been over 5-7 business days. Where's my package?
We take shipping addresses directly from your listed PayPal shipping address. If your listed address is correct, something else may have gone wrong. Don't sit around and wait for longer than seven days, e-mail us right away so we can get to the problem.
Are Cali Toe-Stops available for purchasing?
Cali Toe-Stops are not for sale and are simply a part of our company as a means of giving you guys free crap. Why? "Just 'cause."
How do I join Team Velvet?
Our Team page has two documents for you to download, read, and sign. Please sign both documents and e-mail them to us with the e-mail subject "Team Velvet Application". We will review each individual's application and get back to you.
