Our Mission: To produce and provide the longboard skateboarding world with the most durable, innovative, and affordable technical slide puck.

In 2007, there were no companies out there that concentrated solely on the production of longboard skateboard slide pucks. It is safe to say that slide pucks were very much underappreciated. Corian and cutting board dominated the scene and finding time to replace these effective, yet inefficient slide pucks became costly in the long-run.

UHMW, Ultra High Molecular Weight, became a product that we chose to research vigorously when we heard about it and, in January of 2007, Black Velvet Slide Pucks was born. Our UHMW is not just any type of plastic; it is plastic made specifically for the sport of longboard skateboarding. Self lubricating, an extremely low coefficient of friction, and exceptional wear resistance make Velvet UHMW one of a kind.

What sets Black Velvet Slide Pucks apart is that everything is hand-made. We dedicate countless hours to ensure perfection with each and every slide puck.
